Open the ODBC Administrator.

There are three areas where you can add a new datasource.

• User DSN - Adding a datasource here makes it only available to the user currently logged into Windows.
• System DSN - Adding a datasource here makes it available to all users that login into the computer.
• File DSN - Adding a datasource here creates a datasource file that can be used by SQLXP's "My Database Connections".

After you have selected the desired area for your new datasource, Click the Add Button. Follow the instructions for "Creating a new datasource".
